HomeWalk terms of use

HomeWalk is a pre-quote information tool. It helps a business collect property information and customer preferences. It is not an electrical inspection, engineering assessment, system design, safety certificate or guarantee that a proposed installation is practical or compliant.

For homeowners

The business that sent your HomeWalk link is responsible for its quote, recommendations, technical assessment, installation decisions and compliance obligations. HomeWalk helps that business gather context before it makes those decisions.

Please provide information as accurately as you reasonably can, but approximate answers are acceptable where the walkthrough says so. You are never expected to identify technical electrical details that you do not understand.

Safety

Do not remove switchboard covers, open electrical equipment, climb onto roofs, enter unsafe areas or take any other risk to complete a HomeWalk. If a requested photo or detail cannot be obtained safely, leave it and tell the sending business.

For pilot businesses

HomeWalk workspaces are for legitimate pre-quote, pre-visit and customer-property workflows. Workspace users are responsible for how they use customer information, who they invite to their workspace, the accuracy of their own customer communications, and the professional advice or services they provide.

Do not use HomeWalk to collect information that is unnecessary for the customer’s project, to mislead customers, or for unlawful, abusive or intrusive purposes.

Founding-pilot service

HomeWalk is still being validated with early businesses. Features, limits, templates and pricing may change as the pilot develops. We will avoid changes that unnecessarily disrupt active customer HomeWalk links. The founding-access form is a request for access only and does not itself charge you.

Customer content

Customers and businesses keep their rights in the information and files they provide. They permit HomeWalk to store, process, reproduce and deliver that content only as reasonably required to operate, secure, support and improve the HomeWalk service.

Availability

HomeWalk is designed to be dependable, but uninterrupted availability cannot be guaranteed. Pilot businesses should keep their normal quoting and customer-contact processes available where a HomeWalk cannot be completed.

Accounts and private links

Workspace account credentials and customer private links should be treated as confidential. If you believe a link or account has been shared with the wrong person, contact the sending business or HomeWalk support promptly.

Changes or cancellation

Pilot businesses can stop using HomeWalk. Where future subscription enforcement is introduced, a billing issue should not invalidate customer HomeWalks that have already been sent solely because a subscription later changes.
